Dear Parents, please find a copy of some of the writing materials we have introduced and are using in school to support the children with their sentence and writing development. You can see that there is a clear progression from Year 1 through to year 6, to support each age and stage of ability. This is used as a guide, so for example, children who are in Year 3, but are working beyond this, may be introduced to sentence types from the next bracket up, and vice versa, depending on their ability. It would be wonderful if you would be able to support your child’s learning at home, by encouraging them to practise their writing, and we hope you might find these support materials useful too.
